Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen (born 6 May 1964) is a Danish actor from Denmark. He is an actor from Denmark. He has appeared as Troels Hartmann, Copenhagen's mayoral candidate, in The Killing. [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen was the third season of Sherlock. Viktor Petrov, the Russian president, was also portrayed in the American House of Cards. Star Wars Rebels featured Grand Admiral Thrawn as Thrawn. He was awarded the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011. At the age of 27, he enrolled at National Theatre School of Denmark. He graduated from that school in 1995. Alongside his appearance in the drama series aired internationally as The Killing, after that, he appeared in two more internationally acclaimed Danish dramas, Those Who Kill and Borgen III. He also played a pivotal part in the episode of BBC drama Sherlock in which he played the blackmailer Charles Augustus Magnussen. In the American television series House of Cards he played the President of Russia. In 2018 he was honored with an International Emmy Award. His performance in the Danish TV drama Herrens Veje was rewarded with an International Emmy Award. The show aired in the UK in the year 2019 under the name Ride Upon the Storm.
