Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin is a native of Beirut. Her birth name derives taken from the word'ml', which is Arabic and means "hope". The family of her parents left Lebanon when she was just two years old during the Lebanese Civil War, and settled in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Ramzi Alamuddin received his MBA at the American University of Beirut. Ramzi Alamuddin was a Lebanese Druze born in Baakline village which is part of the Alam al-Din dynasty located in Chouf District. He returned in 1991 [12] to Lebanon following the civil war that had came to an end. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was a journalist in the field of politics and foreign editor for the Saudi-owned newspaper al-Hayat. 16. She is the founding member of the PR company International Communication Experts, which is part of a larger business that specialises in booking celebrity guests photographs for publicity, as well as event promotion. [17] Amal has three siblings: one sister (Tala) and two half-brothers from her father's first marriage. 18 Amal has attended Dr Challoner's High School, which is a grammar school for girls situated within Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, prior to studying at university. Following her graduation from St Hugh's College in Oxford with an Exhibition Grant and the Shrigley Award, she studied at St Hugh's College. She received the degree of bachelor of Arts in Judiciary (BA) in the year 2000. [citation needed] In the next year she entered New York University School of Law to pursue The Master of Laws (LL.M) degree. She was awarded the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award for excellence in entertainment law.While studying at NYU she interned for a year in the office Sonia Sotomayor, then a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and NYU Law faculty of the Second Circuit.
