Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had numerous talents, including being able to direct, act, produce, write plays teaching, as well as be the director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father is British, as is her mother was an Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother perform in play rehearsals. In her early years Anna was a part of a variety of commercials for television. Anna relocated to Toronto in order to help her acting develop. In the following years, she was able to move to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at a Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her partner in the year 2009. Anna was recently converted to Judaism and the couple married in Fredericton. Bo's same-sex relationship to Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was highlighted in the list of CNN's all-time Favorite Television Couples and named the Top TV Couple of 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. Anna grew a large internet following on social media due to its success.
