Kelly Clarkson has been a American songwriter and singer for over 20 years. She took home American Idol during the first season. This win did more than propel her to fame however, it also secured her a multi-album recording contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. From her first appearance her album, she's released several albums. Three of those albums reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The others were near the top. Her name is among American Idol's most successful performers. She tried her hand at success with diverse musical and theme styles. She often composed songs of her own. Due to her distinctness and ability as a performer, she was praised by reviewers and was awarded a couple of notable award. Grammy Award Grammy Award is her most highly regarded award. Aside from her career as a musician, she's appeared on television and film. River Rose and the Magical Lullaby is her book for children. In addition, she was active in charity work as well as various other organizations.
